Empathy + life experience

A Registered member of the BACP, Cert Health and Social Care, along with a Foundation Degree in Counselling. Having spent many years working as a Senior Director worldwide managing and architecting major change projects in business reconstruction, including management and team motivation schemes.  This has given me an insight into the problems that life work balance can bring

Life events led to a career change to counselling.  Having spent several years within the emergency services and working with the armed forces I understand the trauma these roles can have.  A sound knowledge of adolescence having youth groups both in the church and community over the last 30 years.  I have worked within the NHS IAPT, I am continuing this work in triage and brief therapy work in the private sector.  My experience also includes having been involved in voluntary work within both adult and children’s hospices and I am CRUSE bereavement trained.

I practice an interrogative approach to counselling which allows a flexible approach to meet the needs of individuals allowing me to draw on my knowledge of different methods.  This includes, talking therapies, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.

I can deal with depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, relationship issues and have a good insight into problems in dealing with diversity.

My aim is to give those who come to me the tools to deal with their issues and to be able to draw on these tools long after therapy.

My service offers counselling support to anyone in need of therapy including executives and employees.  To aid in dealing with the issues that today’s lifestyles and work environments can impact our daily lives.  Allowing people to understand the triggers that can cause these issues and the methods with which to deal with them.  I am able to travel to offices, have sessions via Skype or phone.

My contact details are 07500 503574, I am only a phone call away!
